"We prefer wide angle images with lots of negative space that are also relaxed, action-oriented, and candid," said Aditi and Rajit at the planning & design meeting for our couple's portrait photography session.
Five years earlier, they had done couple's portraits while on vacation, and loved the natural feel of the images and the memories of the fun time they had together. The goal this year was to have a large wall portrait for their home, portraits to share with family, and portraits of themselves to use on this year's Diwali cards. "I'd rather have one killer wall portrait as opposed to multiple smaller wall portraits," Rajit said.
When it came down to selecting their favorite image for that killer wall portrait after their photography session, they debated heavily between a candid picnic image and a more posed-looking photograph. In the end, they chose the action-oriented picnic image (above), because, in Aditi's words, "I feel like this one will make our house into a home."
Enjoy some of my favorite images from Aditi and Rajit's couple's portrait photography session at Manassas National Battlefield Park in Northern Virginia! We definitely lucked out with beautiful weather and a sea of blue spring flowers to complement their clothing!
