This was the third time that we’d photographed the B’s. The first two times were party photography for the little B. twins’ 1st and 3rd birthday parties, and the third time was an outdoor family portrait session to create wall art for the B.’s beautiful new home in Leesburg, Virginia. When we visited their home, Mr. B. pointed out all the empty walls, which were just screaming for wall portraits, and Mrs. B. talked about how excited she was to have these family portraits to decorate their new home with. So… you want to see what we came up with?
The first task was to select a family portrait for the stunning stone fireplace mantle, and in the end, they selected a canvas print media, gallery wrapped (and frameless) to give it a more contemporary feel. The 30×40 print size fits perfectly on the mantle.
The second task was to select a wall art love grouping to go behind one of their sofas. They are fans of canvas, so we did this 6-portrait art grouping again in canvas. The family portrait in the middle is a 24×36 size, and the entire grouping spans 89×36 inches.
And finally, to make it all just perfect, Mr. B. wanted some more pieces of art to greet them as they walked through the door of their home every day. Mr. B. loves black & white, so we created a 3-piece grouping of the girls, printed on luster photographic paper at 16×16 size each, and mounted frameless as standouts.
Are you wishing that you had your own family portraits to decorate your home with?
