Mr. and Mrs. W. had recently moved into their new home and were excited to hang some family photography from their portrait session at Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring, Maryland up onto their walls!
They had previously tried to hang artwork above the fireplace mantle, but found the material behind the drywall to be too hard to put a nail through. So a five-piece grouping of photographic prints mounted as standouts worked perfectly for them. Because of the extremely light nature of the mounting, standouts can be hung with just a bulletin board pin for smaller pieces and two pins for larger artwork. For this standout love grouping, Mr. & Mrs. W. chose a 20×24 inch family photo as the central focus with smaller 10×10 squares surrounding it.
Then, for a second room, Mr. and Mrs. W. chose another six of their favorite family photos, with three of the pieces printed on metal and the other three on canvas, with the largest piece 20×30 inches in size. This grouping looks awesome too!
The really great thing about our complimentary family photography interior design services is that if you send us some simple cell phone photos of your home with one or two measurements so we can calibrate your room photos to scale, then after your portrait session, we’ll be able to show you what your favorite family photos will look like hanging on your walls at different sizes and in different layouts. It really helps you to envision what the final display will look like and to ensure that it fits your personality and personal style.
Do you have bare walls screaming for personality-filled photographs of your family?
