We had photographed Jasper, Kiki, and their three kids late last year during a goofy family photography & little artist chalkboard session at our Maryland photography studio. This time, Jasper came back to me and said:
"We've been married for more than a decade, but we didn't have a 'real wedding,' and Kiki had said that one day she wants wedding photography. I'd like to do a '(wedding) dress and tux' portrait session as a gift to her for our wedding anniversary this year."
Of course, I was absolutely delighted that Jasper would come back to us for these special memories that they and their children and eventually grandchildren and great-grandchildren will treasure forever.
Because these wedding portraits would be so special, Jasper decided to extend the standard 1-hour portrait photography session into 2 hours. And so one evening, we met up at Old Town Alexandria in Virginia, and spent a few hours meandering the streets and waterfront. At their "photo reveal" and ordering appointment several weeks later, Jasper and Kiki chose a canvas wall portrait of their favorite image along with 34 other portraits for a custom-designed wedding photography album. Check back soon for photos of their finished album and wall portrait!
Married but still haven't gotten the wedding portraits you always dreamed of?
It's not too late to create these memories.
