"Our last family portraits were before our 3rd one was born, and he’s turning four now!” said Mrs. E on during our pre-portrait consultation. “I love your outdoorsy pictures and the way you capture nature and light in a more candid manner. I don’t like staged, posed-looking photos… I want you to bring out the most natural expressions in my children… I want something really beautiful."
And so we met up six weeks later at one of my favorite local family photo locations… the beautiful Glenview Mansion in Rockville, Maryland. And… this family portrait session was so… much… fun!!! Rambunctious Joey, with his dark eyes and adorable, heartbreaker curls, kept us all on our toes. He and his brother loved jumping on dad, and all the kids had a blast rolling down the hill behind Glenview Mansion. (I love that photo of Joey’s big sister pushing Joey down the hill – you can see the motion in his shoes!)
At her “photo reveal,” Mrs. E chose her 17 favorite family portraits for me to print as a 30×45 inch storyboard on metal, plus her favorite portrait of the three kids to mount as a standout. She picked up her artwork last month, and both pieces look absolutely amazing!
