“I had my first baby nine months ago, and I figured I’d try something different to help me understand my new identity as a mom. I’ve been comparing a lot of boudoir photos from different photographers. Quality and level of professionalism are more important to me. My husband and I are both amateur photographers, and we really appreciate professional and creative photography as an art form. So some of the boudoir photography I’ve seen looked more like cheesy glamour shots than what I want … which is grown-up, ultra-feminine, and edgy boudoir photos … boudoir photos that you wouldn’t find in a mall somewhere.”
This is what N. said to me during our first phone chat. And so N. came up from Washington DC to our Germantown-Clarksburg, Maryland boudoir photography studio. Check out some of her boudoir photos below. What do you think? Ultra-feminine and not your average shopping mall photography? N’s favorite room in our studio was the sea green living room with cranberry accents. What with her love for photography, of course we included her camera as a prop, in addition to one of her husband’s shirts and ties!
Does N. sound like you? Are you searching for your one-of-a-kind boudoir photographer?
