Kate originally found out about us through a neighborhood Facebook group, where someone had asked for recommendations for family photographers, and another person had recommended us.
“I’ve been looking for a new family photographer for a few years now. I just didn’t see anyone whose photos I liked until now.”
At their planning meeting, we looked at photographs from their past professional photography sessions, so that I could get an idea of what they like and don’t like. They really wanted to do the session outdoors, and most importantly, at a place that their twins were already familiar with and enjoyed going to. So it was a pretty quick decision for us to settle on Cabin John Regional Park in Potomac, Maryland. I grew up in the area and spent many a day at Cabin John Park as a child, but this was our first time photographing there. I’m always excited to go to a new photography venue! We got to know the twins … shy Abby and sweet, outgoing Ben … who held my hand the whole time that we walked from spot to spot. What a great family!
At their ordering appointment, the K’s chose a 4-piece canvas love grouping for the family room wall, another large wall portrait for a second wall, a custom-designed “Artful” album, gift prints for family members for the holidays, holiday cards, and one of our digital file collections. Look out for photos of the finished canvases and album in a future post!
Have you too been looking for a family photographer for a while?
Might we be just the right family photographer for you?
