When Laura first called us to chat about a studio family photography session, she mentioned that she loved the room view feature that she read about on our "Portraiture as Heirloom Home Decor" page. (The room view feature is when you send us photos of rooms you might like to hang your family portraits in, and then after your family photography session, we can drag and drop your favorite family portraits onto your room photos, change sizes, add frames, make groupings, etc., to show you all the different possibilities before they exist!)
"Our previous family photographer (before we moved here to Springfield, VA) helped us understand the importance of wall art, and not allowing our family portraits to 'die' on a computer because they're only digital. But when it comes to hanging photographs, I'm always second guessing what things will look like. In our previous house, a friend who was an interior designer put up a collage wall for us, because I don't have a designer bone in my body. That's why in our new house, we don't currently have any family photography on the walls. This is why I love that you can help us with this with the room view feature!"
Laura sent us photos of two rooms. They wanted one love grouping for the TV room and a second grouping for the kids' playroom. Check out their final wall art love groupings below from their winter family photography session at our Maryland photography studio! You can also view more photos from their family photography session here.
And many thanks to Laura for writing this awesome 5-star review of our family photography services on Thumbtack!
