In the dynamic landscape of modern businesses, team compositions are constantly evolving. Whether it's welcoming new talent or bidding farewell to departing colleagues, these changes are inevitable. Amidst this flux, businesses often find themselves faced with the dilemma of updating their team portraits.
However, what if there was a cost-effective and efficient way to do this, without needing to pull all employees out of work every time the team changed? Our team composites are the savvy solution to the dilemma, saving companies both time and money.
Featured in this post is Silver Spring law firm, McDonough Law, LLC. I had photographed firm owner, Kate McDonough seven years earlier. She had seen our headshot mini-marathon days advertised in the past, and she reached out to me about headshots and team portraits for her entire crew. We set up a headshot mini-marathon day just for her firm!
Imagine the process. A new attorney joins the firm, so you, as the marketing director, hire a professional photographer and coordinate a photoshoot with everyone at the firm. Each employee gets a few new headshots and then the photographer does a team portrait of everyone together at the end. Whew! That project’s complete!
But alas… a few months later, the paralegal unexpectedly accepts an offer at another firm. That team portrait is no longer current! Sigh… You’re too busy to corral everyone together (it’s like herding cats!) for another team portrait right away, and 6 months pass. Finally, you manage to coordinate schedules. You call the professional photographer back in, and she gets a new team portrait done for you. It goes up on the website. You’re so relieved that’s over! Until another staffing change happens! Wait a second! We just did new team portraits a few months ago, and now we have to do it again? But but but! Hey, this is getting to be expensive!!!
So… what if I told you there was a way to streamline this process while still maintaining a polished and professional image?
Instead of gathering everyone together for a team portrait, our professional photographer photographs each employee individually, and then seamlessly integrates the individual portraits into a unified team composite. This not only eliminates the need for frequent photoshoots for all employees, but also provides a consistent visual representation of the team.
When McDonough Law first came to us for this, they brought four employees. We did professional headshots for each employee, as well as full-body portraits on a white backdrop, which we then merged together into a single group portrait.
Three months later, a new paralegal joined the firm. She came to us on one of our headshot mini-marathon days, and we did some professional headshots for her, and a full-body portrait on white, so she could be added into the team composite.
Five months after that, there was another addition to the team. Instead of having to pull every single employee out of work for another photoshoot, only the new employee needed to come!
As you can see, our professional headshots and team composites are a cost-saving asset and innovative approach for businesses to retain current brand imagery while also optimizing resources and maintaining efficiency!
Are you thinking, "Team portrait please?"
