I love love LOVE this first family portrait below of Mrs. Y and her two daughters, Sommer and Sally, at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. Part of why I love this family photo is the kiss of sun on Sommer’s hair and the orangish glow on the side of Sally’s face. If I didn’t already know, I would be sure to mistake these three beauties to be sisters! And yet, in the next family portrait, we see three generations of the Y’s. And isn’t the littlest Y – little Cylee – just the sweetest? My favorite family portrait: Cylee and her dad doing the ribbit frog hop. Just so adorable, with little Cylee’s beautiful blond curls falling over her face. Won’t she be the heartbreaker when she grows up!
Scroll all the way down to see what the Y’s did with their family portrait photography treasure!
Then, with Sally’s input, we built the 5-image family portrait storyboard below, printed on metal, as a gift for Cylee’s dad’s parents.
And Mrs. Y got three different Center Stage floating gallery blocks, one for herself, one as a gift for Sally, and one as a gift for Sommer. Won’t these be treasured family heirlooms, wall art for this and future generations to enjoy, day after day for years to come!
