"We have 3-month old twin boys, and we’re interested in a baby photography/family photography session,” Pat told me.  “Fall is my favorite time of the year,” she continued, “but I’m not sure if it will be too cold for the kids." 

When I asked about her past experience with professional family photographers, she mentioned a family photography session for her nephew at JC Penny Portraits.  “They were ok,” she said, “but rushed and not so personal.”  They had also done maternity photography and hospital photography after the twins’ arrival, “but this time, I really want someone who will be more personal and patient, and who will allow wardrobe changes,” she said.

Well, fall is without question a wonderful time of year for outdoor family portraits, and not usually too cold even for little ones.  So one fall evening, we met up at Sugarloaf, Maryland in Dickerson, MD for a leisurely walk on the wooded mountain trails.  The twins were already able to push themselves up for short periods of time, and we captured so much variety in their little baby expressions.  Pat & Jack will treasure these baby photography & family photography memories for years to come, as will the twins when they grow older.  These family portraits are truly a legacy to be cherished for generations.
