It was at the urging of the CEO of Sustain Creativity, a Rockville-based marketing company for whom I had done team photos and business headshots last year, that the local franchise owner of the Original Pancake House and I sat down to chat one afternoon about their food photography needs. The Original Pancake House was looking for a food photographer to update their existing food photography library with more close-up, fill-the-frame type visual imagery that communicated the yum factor of the food while also keeping the food photography natural and reality-based. The images would be used on a new menu design and website currently under development, as well as on big-screen TVs at their three restaurant locations in Rockville, Bethesda, and Falls Church. And it was just a few weeks later that we headed back to the Rockville restaurant for this food photography shoot featuring 15 delectable, mouth-watering dishes. (*** I speak from personal experience, as we got to taste each of these delicious dishes! My fav was the enormous, football-shaped egg white western omelette (food photo #6 below), as well as the butterscotch pancakes (food photo #11***)
Hungry? I’m not surprised. The Original Pancake House is open for breakfast and lunch, 7 AM to 3 PM at each of their Washington DC metro area locations.
Are you a local restaurant in search of delectable, mouth-watering food photography by a Washington DC food photographer?
