“As a creative intuitive, I am looking for a couple of unusual business portrait photos for my website, which I am preparing to publish in October. I am so glad I found your site. “
This was the e-mail from Enjua that popped into my inbox one day. And when I called Enjua on the phone and said why me?, she responded:
“I’ve been looking for months and months for a professional photographer with a particular touch. It’s more of what you capture in people’s eyes… the joy I see… the relationship of the main character to the background…”
Retired from 33 years as a creative executive in the life sciences, Enjua is launching a new business – Rivière de Vie – through which she’ll offer intuitive consulting for lifestyle concerns, neurovibrational therapy for higher soul integration and healing, and sourcing of display-quality minerals for collectors – and she was searching for a Burke, VA business portrait photographer to create a set of gentle, creative, and engagingly unusual business portraits for her new website (check back later this year for the launch). And so we planned two separate sessions, the first in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, and the second to take place at Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson, Maryland.
Enjua is one of a kind, able to connect with herself and really enter the moment! We had so much fun creating these (personal and) business portraits. For those of you who get nervous in front of the camera or who have trouble smiling naturally on demand, try Enjua’s method of imagining a scene or event unfolding before you, and then reacting to it! Enjua also specifically requested a soft focus, painterly mood for two of the business portraits (see the first image below). Enjua, I can’t wait for our Sugarloaf Mountain session! And, many thanks to Enjua’s makeup artist & hair stylist, Melanie Medeiros, who did a fantastic job!
