When Karla & Albert and I first met for our wedding photography consultation last year, they told me they wanted to make sure to capture some silly wedding pictures of the two of them with their bridal party. Will your bridesmaids and groomsmen be up for that? I asked. They looked at each other, looked back at me, and nodded. And they were right! They all really were! And Karla & Albert’s wedding photography at the Country Club of Fairfax is a fusion of beauty and elegance with the spontaneity of fun-loving personalities and a touch of Filipino wedding tradition. Congratulations to this happily married couple!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these bridal portraits of Karla in her suite at the Mason Inn & Conference Center! So classic and so beautiful!
The “Clothing of One” ceremony is one of several Filipino wedding traditions that Karla & Albert incorporated into their wedding ceremony. The bride & groom’s “veil sponsors” approach the bride & groom, carrying a long, white piece of fabric that they drape and pin over the bride’s veil and across the groom’s white shoulder. It signifies both the bride’s “submission” to the groom and the clothing of two individuals who have become one in marriage. How beautiful…
Albert holds out his wedding ring and the groomsmen oohh and aahhh. I love it!
OMG, this might be the most beautiful bridal portrait ever. So timeless! I love how Karla’s just surrounded by waves of bridal fabric!
The wedding cake by Fluffy Thoughts Cakes features Karla & Albert’s favorite X-Men character (see the little yellow guy resting against the cake at the bottom).
Custom hershey kisses with Karla & Albert’s names on them sit on each wedding reception table.
An emotional moment… Karla wipes a tear from her dad’s eye during their father-daughter dance.
Love how this wedding guest walked straight up to Karla & her dad to photograph their father-daughter dance!
The Prosperity Dance is another Filipino wedding tradition, when guests pin money on the bride & groom and ask them for dances. My favorite cultural tradition of the evening!
Albert’s a man on a mission! He is DETERMINED to flick that garter over his shoulder! Look closely and you'll see the garter flying through space!
Love the expressions on their faces!
