When I first met Katy & Matt last year, and they told me about how they’d met in high school working at a Red Robin one summer, I thought about how awesome it is to be marrying your high school sweetheart. Someone who’s not just your best friend, but who’s been your best friend for years and years and years, and who just knows you inside out since you were just a kid. And you just know without a doubt that your love will endure forever. And as Katy emerged beneath parted drapes at the beginning of their wedding ceremony and walked down the aisle towards Matt, I turned and looked at Matt and saw him trying to keep back the tears, and I knew too that his love would endure. And as Katy danced with her father at their wedding reception, and a tear fell to her cheek, I knew her love would last to the ends of time. And I felt happy. Congratulations to this newlywed couple!
And thanks to Matt & Katy for writing this awesome 5-star review of my Bethesda wedding photography services on WeddingWire!
“Working with Irene Abdou has been absolutely fantastic. There are three things that really stand out about Irene. First is her dedication to her profession. She took the time out of her schedule, and on her own accord I might add, to venture to our wedding location prior to the big date in order to get a feel for the location and to scope out locations of where great pictures would be taken. Second is her ability to capture great moments as they occur. We had some “posed” pictures taken between the ceremony and the reception, but the best pictures of the day came from real moments. Irene captured every aspect of the wedding, and we cannot wait to receive our wedding album filled with these gems. (We are working on picking the photographs now!) This leads me to the third thing, which, in my opinion, exemplifies Irene’s uncanny skills more than anything: her ability to create artwork from the photographs she takes. From the first moment we first walked into Irene’s office and saw all of the examples of artwork she had created, we knew Irene would be our wedding photographer. Irene created custom work for us from our engagement photography session, which serves as the centerpiece above our fireplace. There’s no other way to describe her work other that to say it’s very evident that Irene is passionate about what she does, and we look forward to working with her again in the future.”
