M brought a suitcase full of outfits and props for her Baltimore boudoir photography session. M’s husband is a teacher, so what better way to say I love you then with apples & books. M’s friend helped her pick out my other favorite outfit, which was a white linen shirt with rose-colored trim and pretty rose panties accessorized by a Cubano hat that just made the outfit! Love the sass! This boudoir photography session was a birthday gift for the hubby, presented through a beautiful custom-designed album with a graphite mineral cover. Stay tuned for photos of the boudoir birthday album!
And on a separate note, many thanks to another client – J – for writing this awesome online review of my boudoir photography services!
'I had always wanted to do a fun photo shoot and finally put my foot down one day and went about setting one up. My first inclination would have been to utilize the services of my fabulous wedding photographer, but she had moved across the country, so I asked her for some referrals. One of the photographers to whom she referred me was Irene Abdou. I was impressed by the photography on Irene’s website, so I reached out to her. Because I was a bit nervous at the prospect of doing a photo shoot, I was delighted to discover that she sounded very cheerful and laid back on the phone. We set up a photo shoot for the following weekend, and she connected me with a hair and makeup specialist to see prior to the shoot.
When I arrived for the shoot, I was very nervous and unsure as to what to do with myself. I had never done any modeling, so it was difficult for me to come up with poses and facial expressions that would look good for the camera. Thankfully, Irene was extremely helpful in guiding me and directing me into positions that turned out to be ultra flattering. I felt very comfortable working with her because she was very fun, open-minded, and patient when I wanted to try different things. I was especially impressed by the lengths to which Irene went to capture the perfect photo. In addition to constantly repositioning her lighting equipment, she perched precariously on tables and chairs to ensure that she always got the best angle possible.
At my ordering appointment, Irene was very patient during the process of selecting my favorite images. For each photo that I selected, we discussed any post-production enhancements that would improve the shot. I ended up ordering “stand-outs” for each of the images I selected.
Irene had my standouts ready a few days before my deadline (which was less than a month after I had initially contacted her). The standouts looked perfect — very professional and crisp — and she had taken care of all of my post-production needs. As a special touch, she had found beautiful boxes to house all of my standouts. I was extremely impressed with Irene’s professionalism and work product and would definitely utilize her photography services again!
