It was just seven months ago that J and I had gotten together for a personal portrait session. That time, I had been amazed by her grace and elegance. It was only later that I learned that she had spent her childhood as a ballet dancer, and then I understood. While she says she’s not all that comfortable in front of the camera, she’s a willing subject, certainly not afraid to try anything, and that makes all the difference. This time, J wanted a bit of a different look … a series of portraits that she could use either personally and/or as business portraits. And so we braved the cold (J especially in her thin green dress!) just last week and headed out to J’s location pick – Reston Town Center in Northern Virginia, whose graphic patterns in store windows and architecture lent interesting textures to our environmental portrait concept. I look at these personal and business portraits (my top ten favs below) and admire J for her stylish flair!
